Following the prelude of the singles dropped throughout 2025, Bernal returns this year to complete the journey with his second LP: Vida y milagros. He builds upon those initial releases with eight new tracks that further elevate his debut body of work.
In this new release, the band embraces a heavier sound; there is a clear drift toward hardcore and screamo, genres that serve as the natural vehicle for expressing a sense of pent-up rage. This evolution is solidified in “Los días largos,” their collaboration with Firmado, Carlota. In this track, the group doesn’t just share creative space; they offer an explicit nod to Viva Belgrado, pillars of Spanish post-hardcore. It is a reference that serves as a true statement of intent:
Pienso en las ruinas que visitamos
en el coche cantando De Carne y Flor
Los días Largos – Bernal ft. Firmado, Carlota
Bernal’s shift toward a heavier sound doesn’t happen in a vacuum; this sonic aggression goes hand in hand with lyrics that denounce the precarious housing situation in “Dolores Marqués,” or the hopelessness regarding an increasingly uncertain future highlighted in “Una amistad perdida.”
Vida y milagros consists of twelve songs that solidify Bernal as a lucid voice for their own generation.
